Our zero day with Nate. We woke up at the hotel and ate breakfast. Nate drove us around his old stomping grounds. We hiked a small portion of the AT with him to see Indian Head Rock. He was kind enough to shuttle us around town so we could grab a few things. We ate at a bakery in DWG and perused the antique shops. That night we had reservations at the longest-running jazz club in the USA. Deer Head Inn was a nice bar/restaurant, and tonight there was a jazz quartet featuring piano, bass, drums, and vocals. It was a very cool experience and a great way to spend some time with a friend. I was so happy we got to see Nate and greatly appreciate his support. He made a special trip out to see us in his hometown, flying all the way from Florida. All in all, a really great day, rest, and fun with a friend.
